Liverpool started the transfer window quite actively, as they quickly signed major players after the window opened. They did not waste any time signing Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez as their two new full backs. They also signed Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike for a total fee of over £180 million.

But after completing these four signings, Liverpool became a little quiet as their prime target remained Alexander Isak of Newcastle United. But the Magpies are trying really hard to block this move despite the Swedish International forcing to move to Liverpool. This transfer saga is still not over yet, and the 25 year old can end up on either side.

Giovanni Leoni

Giovanni Leoni agrees on personal terms to join Liverpool

It looks like Liverpool are again trying to fix their other positions, mostly their centre back, where they seriously lack depth. They have already let Jarell Quansah go, who had been an impact sub for the last couple of years. According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are presently interested in at least two defenders.

Marc Guehi is also on the transfer radar of Liverpool

Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace had been a matter of interest for Liverpool from the very first day of this transfer window, and it is reported that the defending FA Cup Champions will let him go for a reported fee of £30 million. We did not get to hear from Liverpool after that, despite Chelsea are also reportedly interested in the English International.

Parma want €30 million for Giovanni Leoni

Guehi's current Crystal Palace contract is expiring by next year, so it should not be very difficult for either side to secure the signature of the 25 year old. Liverpool Football Club were also interested in Italian youngster Giovanni Leoni, who had been quite impressive for Parma. Fabrizio Romano reported this first, and now it looks like Liverpool are really close to signing him.

Fabrizio Romano recently reported that Giovanni Leoni has agreed on personal terms with Liverpool. But the Reds are yet to reach an agreement with Parma, who is reportedly demanding a fee of €30 million (around £26 million) for the 18 year old. But we can expect Giovanni Leoni to play for Liverpool next season if everything goes according to plan.
