Yet again, Crystal Palace shocked the entire world when they slayed another giant in the form of Liverpool. The Community Shield 2025 ultimately went to penalty shootout
Crystal Palace had been the better side from the very first minute in the second half and they were rightfully rewarded in the 77th minute as Ismaila Sarr what the fourth goal of the game and the equaliser for Crystal Palace. Gakpo scored his goal it was already looking too late for Liverpool. Harvey Elliott was also denied by Dean Henderson. The next shot from Crystal Palace was denied by the crossbar. Szoboszlai gave Liverpool some hope by scoring half of the penalty, but all Palace needed was only one goal, and they did not miss their last opportunity and won the FA Community Shield.
