Yet again, Crystal Palace shocked the entire world when they slayed another giant in the form of Liverpool. The Premier League Champions looked stronger during the beginning of the game, but when Crystal Palace picked up the pace of the game, there was no coming back for the Reds in the Community Shield.

Crystal Palace had been the better side from the very first minute in the second half and they were rightfully rewarded in the 77th minute as Ismaila Sarr what the fourth goal of the game and the equaliser for Crystal Palace. When Mohamed Salah missed the first kick of the game, it was pretty much over for Liverpool because it was definitely an awful drawback. And that is exactly what happened as Liverpool's World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister's penalty shot was also saved by Dean Henderson. Alisson tried to give some hope to his side when he saved Eberechi Eze's shot.

Gakpo scored his goal it was already looking too late for Liverpool. Harvey Elliott was also denied by Dean Henderson. The next shot from Crystal Palace was denied by the crossbar. Szoboszlai gave Liverpool some hope by scoring half of the penalty, but all Palace needed was only one goal, and they did not miss their last opportunity and won the FA Community Shield.
