Dayot Upamecano is active at Bayern Munich in 2021, as he left his previous side, RB Leipzig, along with his defensive partner Ibrahima Konate. Upamecano and Konate were considered the best defensive partnership of the time, but they could not continue working together as they were snatched by two different teams.

Ibrahima Konate has been active at Liverpool since the same year, and he has been one of the key players of his side for the last four seasons. But he does not want to extend his Liverpool contract at this moment. Upamecano is also doing a fantastic job at Bayern Munich Football Club, but much like his International defensive partner, not willing to extend his contract either.

Real Madrid and PSG are battling hard to sign Dayot Upamecano

According to reports, Real Madrid are keen on bringing both Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahima Konate next season for free to pair them again. As both of these two players look determined not to extend their present contracts at their respective clubs, it should not be very difficult for the Spanish Giants to get the two French internationals for free.

Dayot Upamecano is presently under contract with Bayern Munich

Reports suggest that Bayern Munich are trying really hard to negotiate the contract extension with the French International and they are desperate to keep him. But it does not look like things are going any further at this moment, and the deal of Upamecano joining Real Madrid seems quite inevitable.

His present contract is expiring at the end of this season

But Real Madrid are reportedly getting strong competition from the French Giants PSG, and the defending UEFA Champions League Champions are also keen on signing both Upamecano and Ibrahima Konate. As of now, it looks like both of these players will reunite at either of these two clubs.

Much like Real Madrid, Liverpool are also trying really hard to extend the contract of Ibrahima Konate. Some reports suggest that Konate demanded a weekly wage of £350k to stay at Liverpool, which at this moment, does not look possible for The Reds. As of now, it seems both of the French internationals will move away from their clubs next summer.
