It looks like Liverpool are desperate to force out their Uruguayan International forward Darwin Nunez after 3 consecutive failed seasons. The defending Premier League Champions are not ready to give him any more opportunities, and they are ready to make some cash by selling him.
From the very first day of this transfer window, there were strong reports that Saudi giants Al Hilal Football Club are interested in him, and they were ready to spend the amount of cash that Liverpool are looking for Darwin Nunez. Al Hilal attempted to sign him during the previous winter transfer window, too, but Liverpool was not willing to sell him in the middle of the season.

Liverpool ended up winning the Premier League campaign of 2024-25, but unfortunately, Nunez could not contribute much to this Premier League win. Liverpool have finally made up their mind to sell him after three seasons and not much improvement. He scored only seven goals in all competitions for his side last season, which was really poor.

Recent reports suggest that Newcastle United are also big candidates that are interested in the 26 year old forward. Liverpool are desperately trying to snatch Newcastle's best player, Alexander Isak, for a record transfer fee. The deal can be mutual if Newcastle are also interested in Darwin Nunez.
If the rumours are true, we can even expect to see Nunez becoming a part of the Alexander Isak deal, and Liverpool can offer player plus cash for this Swedish International. Moreover, it looks like Al Hilal are going to face some competition from the Premier League Giants in order to sign the £65 million rated forward.
