Newcastle United's transfer curse is still haunting them as they are not being able to find even one forward when they are looking for at least two. With their best player and star forward, Alexander Isak has been desperate to leave the club, they have been trying hard to replace him from the very first day of the transfer window, and so far, they have failed miserably.
Every Striker they attempted to sign has either been hijacked or decided to go elsewhere. Even their last target, Benjamin Sesko, who was really close to joining them, decided to go to Manchester United in the end. On the other hand, they are failing to convince Alexander Isak to stay. This is undoubtedly one of the worst transfer windows Newcastle United have ever gone through.

Alexander Sorloth is the newest target of Newcastle United
They have also made things clear that they will not let Isak leave unless they find at least two forwards. Presently, Yoane Wissa is one of their key targets, and he is exactly doing the same thing at Brentford that Isak is doing at Newcastle United. Liverpool had to go through a similar situation previously with players like Fernando Torres and Philippe Coutinho, who did the same.
Alexander Sorloth scored 24 goals in 53 appearances for Atletico Madrid last season
Brentford's risk of relegation has increased after they lost their star manager, Thomas Frank, to Tottenham Hotspur. Losing out on Wissa would have been a terrible setback for them. No wonder they are trying hard to keep Wissa. Apart from Wissa, a new name has emerged to be a matter of interest for Newcastle United as the potential replacement of Alexander Isak.

Yoane Wissa is also a target for Newcastle United
Alexander Sorloth of Atletico Madrid Football Club is potentially the newest target of Newcastle United to replace Alexander Isak. The Norwegian International had been quite impressive for the Spanish Club last season, and Alexander Sorloth can be an excellent addition to the Newcastle United forward line up. Reports suggest that the 29 year old is preparing a move to Newcastle.
If Newcastle manage to sign both Yoane Wissa and Alexander Sorloth, it can definitely be a great boost for their forward line, even if they lose out on their star forward, Alexander Isak. But the real issue is, only one week is left before the transfer window closes, and Newcastle have to do a lot of things to fix their forward line.
