The transfer saga of Alexander Isak had been quite exciting from the very first day. At first, Liverpool made an enquiry about the Swedish International, but his present side, Newcastle United, made it clear that he was not for sale. The former English League champions were desperate to keep their biggest player on their side.

Liverpool shifted their attention to their previous interest, which was Hugo Ekitike, and they did not take much time to land the French forward for a stunning fee of £79 million. The fans are still confused whether it was the right move since Ekitike was only successful in one season.
