NEW DELHI: India made key changes to their playing XI for the third T20I in Dharamsala after fencing the same sides in the opening two matches of the series.

The biggest surprise at the toss was the exclusion of Jasprit Bumrah., widely regarded as one of the finest fast bowlers in T20 cricket.

India captain Suryakumar Yadav clarified the situation at the toss, confirming that Bumrah had returned home for personal reasons.

The BCCI later released an official statement stating that he would be unavailable for the game, with an update on his return to the squad for the remaining matches to be shared in due course.

Axar Patel also missed out on the match after being ruled unwell, forcing another adjustment to the team balance as India made two key changes for the third T20I.

In Bumrah’s absence, India handed an opportunity to Harshit Rana, while Kuldeep Yadav was also brought back into the side to strengthen the bowling attack.
