IPL 2026 starts on March 28 and ticket sales for the tournament are now underway. Mumbai Indians have announced the sale dates and booking process for their home games at the Wankhede Stadium and the details are worth knowing before the windows open and seats sell out. Here is everything you need to know about booking IPL 2026 tickets.
Which Mumbai Indians (MI) home games are on sale and when
Mumbai Indians have opened ticket sales for two home matches at the Wankhede Stadium. The first is MI vs KKR on March 29 and the second is MI vs RCB on April 12. Both are evening games and both are among the more anticipated fixtures of the first phase of IPL 2026. Tickets are being released in four separate phases with priority access going to MI members before general public sales open.
The four booking phases and what each one means
The sale process is split into four windows and knowing which one applies to you will save a lot of frustration on the day.
- Phase 1 opens on March 19 at 12:00 IST and runs until March 21 at 12:00 IST. This window is exclusively for Google Pay UPI users and gives GPay account holders the first opportunity to secure seats before anyone else.
- Phase 2 opens on March 21 at 15:00 IST and runs until March 22 at 15:00 IST. This is the early access window for MI Gold, Silver and Junior members who get priority over general public buyers.
- Phase 3 opens on March 22 at 17:00 IST and runs until March 23 at 17:00 IST. This window provides early access to MI Blue members and those who pre-registered on BookMyShow, ahead of the public sale.
- Phase 4 opens on March 23 at 18:00 IST and has no set end time. This is the general public sale where anyone can book tickets through the standard channels.

How to book and what you need to know before you try
Tickets are available through BookMyShow which is the primary online booking platform for IPL matches. MI members who want to use their early access windows need to make sure they are signed into BookMyShow using the same phone number and email address they used when registering their membership on mumbaiindians.com. If the credentials do not match the early access window will not be available.
There is one important deadline for members to be aware of. To be eligible for the Phase 2 or Phase 3 early access windows the MI membership must have been purchased before March 19 at 23:59 IST. Memberships taken out after that cutoff will not qualify for priority booking in this sale cycle.
For fans who prefer to buy in person offline tickets are also available at the Wankhede Stadium box office on match day subject to availability. The online phases are the safest way to guarantee seats for high demand games like MI vs KKR and MI vs RCB and given how quickly IPL tickets tend to sell out at the Wankhede getting in during one of the early windows is the most reliable approach.
