A strong squad on paper

Mumbai Indians once again appear to be one of the strongest sides, led by Hardik Pandya, on paper, heading into the new IPL season.

The squad boasts significant firepower with the bat as well as depth in the bowling department. Experienced players such as Rohit Sharma, Quinton de Kock, and Suryakumar Yadav strengthen the top order with their vast experience in the shortest format.

In the all-round department, players like Will Jacks and Mitchell Santner add balance to the side with their ability to contribute with both bat and ball.

Experienced bowling attack

The five-time champions also possess a strong bowling attack filled with international experience.

The pace department includes world-class bowlers such as Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, and T20 specialist Deepak Chahar, giving the team multiple wicket-taking options across different phases of the innings.

With such a balanced squad, the Mumbai-based team will be hoping to dominate both with the bat and the ball.

Eye on sixth IPL title

MI remain one of the most successful franchises in IPL history with five titles to their name.

Their last triumph came in 2020, and since then, the franchise has struggled to replicate the dominance it showed during the previous decade. As IPL 2026 approaches, Mumbai will once again aim to bounce back strongly and chase their record sixth IPL title.
