In 20th over of the second innings. Mahli Beardman bowled a slower off cutter full outside off stump to batter, who carved the ball towards sweeper cover.
Finn Allen ran across and grabbed a sensational catch with an outstretched right hand, but his momentum took him beyond the boundary rope as it went for a six.
Allen slightly collided into a security personnel positioned near the fence. The security personnel lost its balance and fell during the collision.
Despite this the moment remained light-hearted and far from serious, sending the commentators into laughter and leaving spectators smiling.
Marsh led Perth Scorchers in a dominant win
Coming to match, Perth Scorchers continued their strong run under the leadership of captain Mitchell Marsh. They registered their fifth win of the league, defeating Adelaide Strikers by 32 runs in a high-scoring clash in Adelaide.
Batting first, Australian captain Marsh played a superb knock of 88 runs from 51 deliveries, showing positive signs for Australia with the T20 World Cup 2026 in sight. He was well supported by Allen and Josh Inglis, who scored 38 and 42 runs respectively with attacking intent.
In response, Adelaide Strikers started brightly as Alex Carey and Matthew Short put on a 93-run opening stand in under eight overs. However, the rest of the batting lineup failed to contribute handing Perth Scorchers a comfortable 32- victory.
