NEW DELHI: Virat Kohli not only entertains the crowd with his magnificent batting, but his on-field antics also keep the atmosphere lively and cheerful. The Vadodara crowd was lucky enough to witness the humorous side of the Indian star during the first ODI against New Zealand on Sunday.
The incident took place in the 34th over when wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav struck to dismiss the dangerous Kiwi batter Glenn Phillips. He attempted a cover drive but failed to time it properly, getting a leading edge that went straight into the hands of Shreyas Iyer.

But what stood out was Kohli's celebration after the dismissal, as he broke into the Naagin Dance, highlighting the significance of Glenn Phillips' wicket.
Kohli also added another milestone to his illustrious career when he took the field in the first ODI of the three-match series.
Playing his 309th ODI for India, the former captain has now gone past Sourav Ganguly (308 matches) to move up the list of players with the most ODI appearances for India.
Kohli, now a one format cricketer, has been in stellar form of late and racked up two hundreds and an unbeaten 65 in the three-match home series against South Africa last month.
