Flight delays hit journey of Indian team
The long travel day was complicated by unforeseen delays. The team's original flight schedule, which aimed for a 9:30 PM IST departure on Wednesday, was pushed back by a significant four hours from Delhi.
This initial delay caused further rescheduling during their stopover in Singapore, resulting in the team finally touching down in Australia around 1:30 AM IST on Thursday morning, well behind their planned arrival time.
Among the players seen deboarding the bus were veterans Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, both making important returns to the limited-overs setup after lengthy breaks. The squad is transitioning quickly from their recent commanding 2-0 Test triumph in the West Indies.
They were joined by the new ODI captain, Shubman Gill, and key middle-order batsman KL Rahul, alongside other teammates, all looking focused despite the travel exhaustion.
The white-ball challenge down under
This extensive tour schedule involves three ODIs and five T20Is, offering both teams ample opportunity to test their depth. India will be facing a strong Australian side led by the dynamic all-rounder Mitchell Marsh, setting the stage for an intense and crucial series.
