NEW DELHI: The third day of the second Test between Bangladesh and Ireland in Dhaka witnessed unusual scenes when play came to an unexpected standstill due to an earthquake. The incident took place during the second ball of the 56th over of Ireland's first innings.

Spectators and players were stunned as the tremors were powerful enough to shake the commentary box, prompting Ireland's cricketers to hurriedly leave their dressing room and gather near the boundary line.

Fans in the stands also appeared momentarily alarmed, but once normalcy returned and officials confirmed it was safe, the game resumed without any further disruption.
