In the third T20I against India at the Bellerive Oval, Hobart, Australia’s aggressive batter Tim David was the reason for a jaw-dropping moment when he hit a massive six of 129 meters which made the people sitting in the stands to be completely stunned.

After the loss of two wickets, David came to the crease at No. 3 and made a blazing 74 off 38 balls, tearing apart the Indian bowling attack with a mixture of power and accuracy. The towering six which went airborne for a 129-meter plus was Axar Patel’s last ball, one of the five he hit during his innings, and it can very well be considered as one of the furthest sixes witnessed in cricket of the world this year by a wide margin.

Tim David’s 129m six shocks fans and players alike

The awesome time was the 6th over when David came running down the wicket and hit Axar's delivery way up into the Hobart sky. The ball hit the roof of the stadium and then came rolling back inside, drawing silent wonder from the people and smiles from the players. Even David himself, it seems, was so shocked by the power of the shot that he could not believe it for a moment.

Before that, Suryakumar Yadav was the one who finally ended the toss drought for India by winning and choosing to field first. Arshdeep Singh got India a very few wickets early in the match , which made Australia send David up the order at No.3, a move that really brought great success.

David scored five sixes and eight fours at a strike rate of 194.74. His battering was one of the major reasons behind Australia's turnaround from a very bad start of the innings as he first made a 59-run partnership with Mitch Marsh and then contributed 45 off 27 balls along with Marcus Stoinis.

He was forcibly removed at the last ball of the 13th over when he was caught by Tilak Varma off Shivam Dube trying for another big hit. At that moment, Australia had already gone 118/5 and were well and truly on the road to a challenging total.
