The side has been in impressive form at home and already secured an unassailable 2-0 lead over Zimbabwe Women in the three match ODI series. Newly appointed skipper Amelia Kerr made big gains in the ICC rankings (Image Source: X @mufaddal_vohra) played a starring role with both bat and ball. Kerr picked up four wickets in the opening match and followed it with a sensational seven wicket haul in the second game in Dunedin, becoming only the seventh player in women’s ODI history to claim seven or more wickets in an innings. That performance helped Kerr jump five places to 11th in the ODI bowling rankings, while the 25 year old also climbed one spot to fifth among ODI all-rounders. Kerr was not the only player to rise in the rankings. Brooke Halliday surged eight places to 11th in the ODI batting chart, while Maddy Green moved up four spots to joint 22nd after solid performances with the bat. Halliday produced a remarkable knock of 157 not out from 117 balls in the first match, while Green contributed 67 in the same contest and followed it up with an unbeaten 27 in the second game. Changes in T20I rankings after WI-SL series There were also movements in the women’s T20I rankings following the recently concluded series between West Indies Women and Sri Lanka Women, played less than three months before the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in England and Wales. Left-handed batter Hasini Perera scored an unbeaten half century to help Sri Lanka seal the series in the third and final match in St George's. Her effort pushed her up 15 places to 28th in the T20I batting rankings. Young batter Imesha Dulani also made notable progress, climbing 17 spots to joint 72nd after scoring an unbeaten 34 in the series decider. Meanwhile, teammate Kavisha Dilhari improved her position in both bowling and all-rounder rankings, moving up three places to 21st among bowlers and two spots to 11th in the all-rounder list. For the West Indies, experienced spinner Afy Fletcher climbed four places to seventh in the T20I bowling rankings after picking up three wickets across the final two matches of the series against Sri Lanka.
