NEW DELHI: The spotlight is back on the legendary Indian duo of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who went full throttle ahead of the first India vs New Zealand ODI of the three-match series, set to start on January 11 at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara.

In a video posted by the BCCI on social media, both Kohli and Rohit can be seen sweating it out in the nets, leaving no stone unturned in their bid to regain match fitness.

Kohli honed his stylish off-drives along with a variety of other shots, while Rohit spent time fine-tuning his leg glances and more. Not just with the bat, both also took part in fielding drills.

The BCCI posted the video with the caption, "RoKo reloaded. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma ready for the INDVNZ ODIs."

Virat had secured the 'Player of the Series' award against South Africa in December for scoring 302 runs in three matches at an average of 151.00, with two back-to-back centuries and a fifty.

Kohli made a long-awaited return to the Vijay Hazare Trophy in late December, turning out for Delhi for the first time in 15 years. He looked in fine touch, piling up 131 against Andhra Pradesh and following it up with a fluent 77 versus Gujarat.

Rohit, meanwhile, continued to underline his dominance in the 50-over format. The top-ranked ODI batter piled up 146 runs in the series against South Africa to retain his No. 1 position.

He too returned to the Vijay Hazare Trophy, producing a commanding 155 against Sikkim, though his outing against Uttarakhand ended in disappointment with a first-ball dismissal.
