The latest ICC ODI rankings have been released, and there’s no surprise at the top : Rohit Sharma continues to rule as the world’s No. 1 batter. The former India captain maintained his position following another strong outing in the ODI series against South Africa.

Just below him sits Virat Kohli, who has climbed to No. 2 after a sensational run at home. Kohli was in brilliant form throughout the South Africa series, smashing two centuries and a fifty. He piled up 302 runs in only three innings, striking at 117.05 and averaging an incredible 151. His performances were pivotal in India’s 2–1 series win and helped him leap from No. 4 to No. 2, overtaking Daryl Mitchell and Ibrahim Zadran.

Rohit also contributed well with 146 runs, including two half-centuries, further solidifying his top ranking. Meanwhile, Shubman Gill holds his No. 5 spot, despite missing the series due to a neck injury.
