NEW DELHI: Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad took part in a hilarious rapid-fire question-and-answer session, where he had to respond instantly, and the batter entertained the audience with his witty replies.

At the start, Gaikwad asked the presenter how many questions he would have to answer and was surprised to learn it was 15. The right-handed batter cheekily remarked that it felt like ten years ago since he last answered 15 questions in one go.

The rapid-fire round began by asking Gaikwad about the toughest bowler he has ever faced, and he didn't hesitate to name Kiwi pacer Trent Boult.

The conversation then turned to his favourite Chennai food, and the CSK captain went local, choosing dosa.

Gaikwad's prowess against spin bowling has been sensational, and when quizzed about which is easier to hit - a googly or spin - he kept it simple and replied: both.

Talking about his cricketing inspirations, Gaikwad revealed that his idol is CSK legend MS Dhoni, drawing huge cheers from the crowd and reflecting Dhoni's enduring significance for the team.

He named his CSK teammate Shivam Dube as his favourite all-rounder, who was sitting beside him on the podium.

One innings that remains etched in his memory, he said, is his 88 not out against Mumbai Indians. When asked about his favourite cricket stadium, Gaikwad didn't think twice and chose Chepauk.

Another moment that thrilled the crowd came when he was asked to share his CSK nickname, and Gaikwad proudly said it is Rocket Raja.
