"It's been a long wait. 13 years is a long time. Very glad, the whole team is very glad that we were finally able to do it. We have seen what this wicket plays like. Chasing a huge target of 221, openers Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton gave Mumbai Indians a staggering start with a 148-run stand. Rohit scored 78 off 38 balls and Rickelton smashed 81 off 43 balls.

KKR bowlers managed to take the game to deep, but Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma played crucial cameos to lead MI to a big win with 5 balls remaining. It was a team effort from the hosts to end their losing streak in opening IPL matches.
