The excitement around the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) is already high as the schedule is out. The first 20 games are confirmed, and venues for most matches are almost final. As per BCCI, some teams will play their home matches across multiple stadiums this season, giving fans in different cities a chance to catch live action. The tournament kicks off on March 28 with RCB taking on SRH at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, promising an exciting start to the season. However, all matches in Bengaluru are subject to security clearance from the Karnataka government. The Expert Committee is scheduled to inspect M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on March 13, 2026, conducting a full-scale mock demonstration of match-day arrangements. Only after this scrutiny will the stadium be cleared for hosting IPL fixtures. RCB’s initial fixtures include: March 28 (Sat) – RCB vs SRH – M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru April 5 (Sun) – RCB vs CSK – M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru April 10 (Fri) – RR vs RCB – Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati April 12 (Sun) – MI vs RCB – Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai Punjab Kings Punjab Kings will split their home games between Mullanpur and Dharamshala this season. Four matches are scheduled at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Stadium in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh, and three matches at the serene Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamshala. Fans can look forward to high-octane cricket in two very different settings. Initial fixtures include: March 31 (Tue) – PBKS vs GT – Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Stadium, Mullanpur April 3 (Fri) – CSK vs PBKS – MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai April 6 (Mon) – KKR vs PBKS – Eden Gardens, Kolkata April 11 (Sat) – PBKS vs SRH – Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Stadium, Mullanpur Rajasthan Royals Rajasthan Royals will also play home matches across two venues this season.
