NEW DELHI: India’s left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav has reached a career-best 14th position in the latest ICC Test bowlers’ rankings after his brilliant eight-wicket match haul in the second Test against the West Indies in New Delhi.

Yadav climbed seven spots, while West Indies’ Jomel Warrican and Roston Chase also made gains, moving up to 30th and 57th places, respectively.

In the batting charts, India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal advanced two places to fifth after scoring 175 in the first innings, while KL Rahul rose to 33rd following his knocks of 38 and an unbeaten 58. For the West Indies, Shai Hope (up 34 places to 66th) and John Campbell (up six spots to 68th) made progress after their second-innings centuries.

The Afghanistan team has witnessed a major turnaround in the latest ODI rankings after their 3-0 series win against Bangladesh in Abu Dhabi.
Leg-spinner Rashid Khan reclaimed the No. 1 spot in the ICC ODI bowling rankings, finishing the series with 11 wickets, including a five-wicket haul in the second match. Rashid, who first topped the list in September 2018, now has 710 rating points, 30 clear of South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj.
Seamer Azmatullah Omarzai jumped 19 places to a career-best 21st position, while Bangladesh’s Mehidy Hasan Miraz (up four to 24th) and Tanzim Hasan Sakib (up 24 to 67th) also improved.
New high for Ibrahim Zadran
In the batting rankings, Ibrahim Zadran climbed eight places to a career-best second position after scoring 213 runs in the series, earning him the Player of the Series award.
He now holds the highest-ever ODI batting rating for an Afghanistan player, surpassing Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s 686 points from last year. Rahmanullah also moved up two places to 16th, while Bangladesh batters Towhid Hridoy (up seven to 42nd) and Mohammad Nabi (up six to 50th) gained ground.
