NEW DELHI: Living a normal life isn't easy when you become a star. Sometimes, stardom puts you in situations that prevent you from even enjoying your favorite things, as fans and media constantly barge in, eager to catch a glimpse of their favourite celebrities.
And no one knows this better than Afghanistan's star spinner Rashid Khan, who revealed the challenges of traveling even in his own country during a candid conversation with former England captain Kevin Pietersen.
Rashid revealed about the harsh realities of life in Kabul, revealing that he cannot stroll the streets freely and travels in a bulletproof car. Pietersen's astonishment underscored just how striking - and sobering - Rashid's day-to-day circumstances truly are.

"I can't walk in the street in Afghanistan. I have a bulletproof car," Rashid told Pietersen. "You have a bulletproof car in Kabul? Why?" Pietersen Pietersen asked in shock.
"It's for safety," Rashid explained. "You don't want to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's normal in Afghanistan. Everyone has it."
Rashid recalled a childhood in which even going outside to play cricket was filled with risk.
"I was not allowed to go and play outside," Rashid recalled. "Playing for Afghanistan was the biggest dream we could have."
