Most 5 Wicket Hauls in IPL History (Updated 2025)

In the IPL season, Jasprit Bumrah, James Faulkner, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jaydev Unadkat are leading in the top 4 in taking the most 5 Wicket Hauls in IPL. All have emerged as top performers, thanks to their excellent ability to make breakthroughs. 

Jasprit Bumrah, while playing for MI he has achieved 183 wickets in 145 matches. His strike rate of 18.19 shows his consistency with the ball, while his bowling average of 22.2  highlights his ability to dismiss main batters under immense pressure. The economy rate of the fast bowler is 7.26 and picked up two 5-wicket hauls in his IPL career. 

On the other hand, James Faulkner has obtained 59 wickets in 60 matches with a bowling average of 30.14. Faulkner’s bowling economy rate of 8.77 shows his ability to control runs. The all-rounder’s bowling strike rate is 20.61. Faulkner has secured 2 five-wicket hauls in the IPL.  He played IPL for GL, PBKS, PWI and RR. 

Bhuvaneswar Kumar has two 5-wicket hauls in his name. The pace bowler has played 189 matches in the IPL and achieved 198 wickets in his name with a bowling average of 27.15, 7.69 economy and 21.18 strike rate. He got the opportunity to perform in IPL for PWI, RCB and SRH. 

Jaydev Unadkat has bagged two five-wicket hauls in the IPL. Unadkat has registered 110 wickets in 111 matches with a bowling Average of 30,58, 8.91 economy and 20.50 strike rate. He represented DC, KKR, LSG, MI, RCB, RPS and  RR, and SRH in IPL. 

Andrew Tye has played 30 matches and achieved 42 wickets with an 8.59 bowling economy, 16.29 strike rate and 23.31 average with one 5-wicket haul in IPL. Tye is the 5th bowler in the list, taking 5 wickets in one match. He was part of GL, PBKS, RR and LSG. 

Mohit Sharma has managed to claim one 5-wicket haul in IPL. He played 119 matches and delivered 134 wickets with a bowling economy of 8.82, 26.22 average and 17.83 strike rate. He wore CSK, DC, GT, and PBKS jerseys to play the IPL. 

When it comes to records, like most 5-wicket hauls in IPL history, all these bowlers have performed exceptionally well as game changers.
