Most 4 Wicket Hauls in IPL – Best Bowling Figures by IPL Players

Yuzvendra Chahal registered 9 four-wicket hauls in the IPL. He featured in 172 games, taking 221 wickets and best performer in the most four-wicket hauls in IPL. Sunil Narine's Career includes 8 four-wicket hauls. He bagged 192 wickets across 187 games, claiming the 2nd spot. Lasith Malinga reached four-wicket hauls 7 times in the IPL. He owns 170 wickets from 122 appearances and sealed the 3rd spot. Kagiso Rabada delivered 4-wicket hauls 6 times in IPL history. In 84 outings, he achieved 119 wickets. He is the 4th-finest player in this list. Overall, these bowlers have consistently delivered match-winning spells and have been important across many IPL seasons. Most 4-Wicket Hauls in IPL (2008-2025)

Yuzvendra Chahal placed his position on the top of Most 4 Wicket Hauls in IPL. He has achieved the record of 9 four wicket haul in April 2025. Yuzvendra Chahal has been displayed as one of the center stage players in the IPL seasons. Chhahal made numerous records with his bowling techniques, he is a right-arm leg-spin bowler and mostly relies on his variations and control in bowling. He is mostly targeting the front pad to outsmart the batsman for LBW. 

Sunil Narine, known as off spinner holds the records of 8 four wickets haul in the IPL season. Sunil Narine used carrom balls and knuckle balls which made it hard for the batsman to score against him. Lasith Malinga, legendary fast bowler, also holds the position in the third place with 7 four wickets haul in the IPL season.

Kagiso Rabada, right-arm fast bowler and Amit Mishra right-arm leg-spin made it to the top 5 in Most 4 Wicket Hauls with 6and 5 wickets haul in the IPL season.

Spinners with Most 4-Wicket Hauls in IPL 

Yuzvendra Chahal has proven as the most successful spinner in the IPL history as he holds the record of the highest wicket taker and topped the list of most 4-Wicket Hauls in IPL. He also etched his name in numerous records with his exceptional performance of 221 wickets at the economy rate of 7.98.

Sunil Narine gave his best shot in IPL 2024 when he picked up 15 wickets and  also excelled in 2018 with 17 wickets to his name.

Amit Mishra presented his best in the IPL seasons but one of his best performances came out in 2008 when he took 5 wickets for only 17 runs against Deccan Charges.

Lasith Malinga came up with the most impressive figures in 2011 against DC with 5/13 and 4 wicket haul in 2012 and 2014.

Kagiso Rabada took the purple cap in 2020 for taking 30 wickets in 17 matches.
