IPL Auction has always been a tremendous excitement among the players, teams and the viewers. Indian players from both international and domestic tiers participate in this mega event with overseas players. The list of sold and unsold players in the IPL auction set the tone of excitement and buzz among the fans of their favorite teams. IPL Auction Players sold in 2025
The IPL 2026 auction hasn’t been live yet and is scheduled on 16th December 2026. The players list comprises a total of 246 Indians and 113 overseas players. This players list has 230 uncapped Indian players and 150 uncapped overseas players. A total of 1390 players have registered in the IPL 2026 auction this year.
In the 2025 IPL auction 182 players sold in respective franchises through the auction bidding. Rishabh Pant got the highest price with 27 cr at LSG, later got the captaincy. Shreyas Iyer was the second highest player who got 26.75 cr to PBKS, just a minor less from Pant. Venkatesh Iyer, the third name in the list, was sold for 23.75 cr to KKR. Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal are the next names who were sold for 18 cr to PBKS. All of the above players had the base price of 2 cr in the auction.
KL Rahul, the wicket-keeper batsman was sold to Delhi Capital for 14 cr alongside Mohammed Siraj at 12.25 cr to Gujarat Titans. Another wicket-keeper batsman Ishan Kishan got 11.25 cr and was sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Overseas Players sold in IPL Auction 2025
English Wicket keeper batsman Jos Buttler was the highest buy in IPL 2025 among the overseas players. He was sold for 15.75 cr to Gujarat Titans. Another English player Jofra Archer was sold for 12.5 cr to RR. Aussie pacer Josh Hazlewood and NZ left arm fast bowler Trent Boult were sold for 12.5 cr to RR and MI respectively.
Mitchell Starc, another Aussie pacer was sold for 11.75 cr to Delhi Capitals. Phil Salt is the next name in this IPL auction sold players list who was sold for 11.5 cr to RCB. Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis was sold for 11 cr to Punjab Kings. Kagiso Rabada, Noor Ahmad, Jake Fraser McGurk & Liam Livingstone are the other names in this list who were sold for hefty amounts to respective IPL franchises.
