IPL 2026 kicks off on Saturday and the ticket market in 2026 looks nothing like it did even two years ago. The league has never been worth more, two franchises just sold for a combined three billion dollars and the pricing across all ten teams reflects every bit of that.
Some tickets are gone already. Some are not even on sale yet. And the platform you need depends entirely on which team you are trying to watch, which is more complicated than it sounds.
The defending champions have rewritten what an IPL ticket costs
RCB have done something no franchise has attempted before. Following the Aditya Birla Group acquisition they have pulled out of BookMyShow and District entirely and moved to a fully in-house ticketing model through their own app.
The entry price of INR 3,750 is the highest starting point in IPL history. The top end, premium hospitality, pitch-side access, five course meals, signed merchandise, goes to INR 65,800, which is also a number the league has never seen before.
Dynamic pricing is in play too, meaning that INR 3,750 can climb automatically when demand spikes, sometimes jumping to INR 4,800 or more before you have even clicked confirm. There is no point looking anywhere else for RCB tickets. The app is the only way in.

Breaking down the rest of the market
Mumbai Indians have the cheapest seat in the league on paper at INR 499 but that number is academic at this point, those tickets disappeared within seconds of going live during early access and anything available now starts closer to INR 2,800.
KKR are one of the better value options at INR 1,200 to INR 8,500 on BookMyShow. Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants both start at INR 1,000 also on BookMyShow, though LSG's new Platinum Lounges push their ceiling to INR 40,000 making Ekana the second most expensive venue in the league behind Chinnaswamy.
Punjab Kings on District start at INR 2,250 and go to INR 25,000. Rajasthan Royals across their Guwahati and Jaipur home leg are on District with one of the tightest price ranges in the competition at INR 1,599 to INR 22,000. Delhi Capitals are the most affordable option currently available starting at INR 2,100 on District.

Before you pay: A few things worth knowing
Both BookMyShow and District charge a convenience fee of five to eight percent on top of the ticket price. On a high-end RCB IPL 2026 ticket that fee alone can cross INR 2,000.
Weekday fixtures are running about fifteen percent cheaper than weekend matches across most venues, so if your schedule is flexible there is a genuine saving to be had.
The BCCI has introduced QR-code M-Tickets this IPL season that are tied directly to the buyer's device ID, which means resale tickets from unofficial sources are a serious gamble, a INR 1,00,000 grey market ticket for MI vs RCB that gets rejected at the gate is money gone with no recourse.
Use the official platforms, know which one your team is on, and if you are going to Chinnaswamy just open the RCB app.
