Indian legend and RCB’s powerhouse Virat Kohli was left searching for answers in the nets by Bhuvneshwar Kumar ahead of IPL 2026.

As preparations for the season are in full swing, these positive visuals have given Royal Challengers Bengaluru fans hope of another strong year.

A fan-recorded clip showed Kohli facing Bhuvneshwar in the nets. One sharp yorker did the trick as Kohli went on the front foot, missed it completely and lost balance for a moment. He then picked up the ball and casually returned it, almost acknowledging the delivery.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar rolls back the clock

The clip spread fast and fans had a lot to say. Many were quick to point out that Bhuvneshwar still has plenty left in him. Some even said this is the version of Bhuvi they had missed watching for a while now.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been out of the Indian setup for more than three years now. The last time he played for India was back in November 2022, in a T20I against New Zealand. Since then, he has not really been in the national mix.

Meanwhile, he has been one of the finest bowlers the league has seen over the years. Featuring in around 190 matches, Bhuvi has picked up close to 198 wickets with an economy of 7.69, which is quite impressive in T20 cricket.

Bhuvi also played a key role in RCB’s maiden title run last season. Throughout the campaign, he was often seen troubling batters with his swing and that tight line and length in powerplays. In 14 games, he ended up taking 17 wickets, quietly doing his job.

Now with the new season approaching and he is looking in fine touch, the expectations would be very high from the right-hand pacer.
