India's limited-overs tour to Bangladesh has been officially postponed to September 2026 due to diplomatic tension after the official statement of the Board of Control for Cricket in India. According to reports Indian cricket team might play six limited-over matches in next month August 2025. This series is not part of the upcoming schedule of both teams, but due to the availability of both teams, the series might happen.

The schedule of the Lanka Premier League has been officially postponed. It opens the availability of the Sri Lanka cricket board to host this series. According to reports Board of Control for cricket in India and Sri Lanka are currently discussing scheduling three ODIs and 3 T20 during this time.
