NEW DELHI: Pakistan fans were overjoyed with their team's victory over Bangladesh in the final Super 4 clash, which secured a spot in Sunday's Asia Cup final against India. However, it's not just the players, experts, PCB officials, or even spouses making headlines - their fans too have joined in, often venting their hate against India.

After the match, a short video surfaced on social media showing a Pakistani fan shaking hands with Haris Rauf and urging him, 'India ko chhodna nahi.' The clip has only added more fuel to the fiery build-up for Sunday's final in Dubai.

Pakistan's bowling unit came to the party when it mattered the most as they defended a modest 135 with all its might against Bangladesh on Thursday.

Pakistan skipper Salman Ali Agha said such victories make him believe it is a "special team" and added his side has the quality to beat anyone, including India, in the Asia Cup final.

This will be the third encounter between the arch-rivals in this Asia Cup, with India having won both previous meetings. The first two matches were also overshadowed by controversy, after Suryakumar Yadav snubbed handshakes with his Pakistan counterparts.

During the September 21 match, Rauf had made gestures to depict the bringing down of a plane to mock India's military action after Indian supporters chanted "Kohli, Kohli" referring to the couple of match-winning sixes that the Indian legend hit off the pacer at MCG during a T20 World Cup game in 2022.

Sahibzada Farhan celebrated half-century with a gun-firing gesture using his bat as a machine gun prop, something that has been widely criticised.
