Mitchell Marsh: We have seen Rohit and Virat do that for the last 10 years for a lot of teams. We needed one more partnership towards the back end, awesome learning for our young guys. India were too good. A lot of learnings for us. India are the number one team in the world, so to get the job done in the first two games is something that we can be really proud of as a team and as we keep moving forward. I'm really proud of the whole team.

Shubman Gill: We almost had a near perfect game. Harshit has been coming and bowling fast in the middle overs. It's a delight to watch them both bat (on Rohit and Kohli).

Rohit Sharma: "In Australia, it's not going to be easy. You have to understand the situation and that's what I was trying to do. I had good prep before we came in. We will take a lot of positives from this even though we lost the series. It is still a young side, many not been to Australia before. Playing in Australia is never, travelling and playing cricket never easy. We just have to make sure we pass on the message. When you come to such places, you have to come with a gameplan. Even when I come now, I have to be well prepared. Now I have to pass that on to the younger players."

Virat Kohli: You might've played international cricket for a long time, but the game shows you ways (on his ducks in the first two games). Almost 37 (years old) in the next few days, but chasing always brings the best out of me, nice to have a big match-winning partnership (with Rohit). I think from early on, we've understood the situation well, that's what we've always done well, we're probably the most experienced pair now, but back in the day when we were young - we knew we could take the game away from them with big partnerships. I think it all started in 2013, if we put up a big partnership, we know we'll go a long way in helping the team win. We've loved coming to this country, we've played some good cricket, thank you guys for coming in big numbers and supporting us.

Rohit Sharma: I have always loved coming here, and enjoyed playing cricket at this venue (in Sydney). Brought back nice memories of 2008, it was fun, don't know if we're going to come back, but I've enjoyed every bit. We've enjoyed playing cricket regardless of all the accolades over the years. Forget about what happened in the last 15 years, I've always loved playing here, I think it'll be the same for Virat as well. Thank you Australia.

India sealed the final ODI at SCG with a commanding 9-wicket win. Rohit Sharma’s 33rd ODI century and a solid partnership with Virat Kohli anchored the chase.
