India women’s all-rounder Deepti Sharma has climbed to the top of the ICC Women’s T20I bowling rankings, claiming the number one spot for the first time in her career.
Deepti surged to the summit with 737 rating points, overtaking Australia’s Annabel Sutherland, who now sits just one point behind on 736. Her rise comes on the back of a strong showing in India’s home T20I series against Sri Lanka, where she registered figures of 1 for 20 from four overs in Vizag. The performance earned her five crucial rating points, enough to propel her to the top of the rankings.
