According to an ICC source, the meeting has now been rescheduled for next month, though it will still take place somewhere within the same continent.
A formal communication informing members about the postponement was sent on Saturday, a day before the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Final between India national cricket team and New Zealand national cricket team in Ahmedabad.
The meeting was expected to bring together ICC board directors, chief executives, committee members, and senior leadership as part of the governing body's regular calendar of governance discussions. The gathering was intended to review key matters concerning both the current state and the future of international cricket.
The ICC had earlier selected Doha as the venue in recognition of Qatar’s increasing involvement in the development of cricket.
In a statement released on February 22, the ICC highlighted that its collaboration with the Qatar Cricket Association and the Qatar Olympic Committee has contributed significantly to the sport’s rapid growth in the country in recent years.
