NEW DELHI: India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has etched his name into a rare group after becoming the first Indian bowler and the fifth overall to claim 100 wickets in all three international formats during the opening T20I in Cuttack.

With this Bumrah joins Arshdeep Singh in the list of Indian bowlers with 100 T20I wickets as well.

Breakthrough Against Brevis

Bumrah reached the milestone with a clever short ball that surprised Dewald Brevis. The batter rushed into the pull and ended up lobbing a simple catch, giving Bumrah his place in the elite club.

He followed it up by removing Keshav Maharaj. A sharp rising delivery cramped the batter for space and the top edge sailed behind where Jitesh Sharma completed an easy take. Bumrah’s control and rhythm stood out once again.
