Bumrah is in full flow and ready for the historic Lord's Test on July 10, 2025.
During the practice session of Team India, Jasprit Bumrah was asked by Indian bowling coach Morné Morkel to choose between the old and the new ball. Without any difficulty, Bumrah picks the new ball. Just a minute later, he bowled an excellent delivery that beat Karun Nair made a strong appeal.
Bumrah has not bowled a single over since June 24, when he took 5 wickets in the first Test match. He rested for the second Test match to manage his back injury. Some cricket fans were upset that India would lose without him.
India won their second test match by a huge margin. Team India arrived at the Lord's Cricket Ground for the net practice session with smiles and confidence. Bumrah looks relaxed and cheerful. He cracked jokes with teammates and appreciated Nitish Reddy by calling him “Brett Lee”, but when it's time to bowl, Bumrah becomes serious. He practised for nearly an hour, showing great focus and dedication, most other players were resting, but he kept working hard.
Bumrah has special memories at Lords in 2021, he helped team India to win both with the ball and bat. The pitch looks green, and the weather is warm. This time, Bumrah is fully fit and ready. He will look to make a big impact in the upcoming match. His presence will not only help to win this Test match but also inspire India to win the Test series after a long gap of 18 years.
