Four Indians have been named in the Team of the Tournament for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 after India clinched the title for a record third time.

Indian batters dominate lineup

Player of the Tournament Sanju Samson leads the Indian quartet after a sensational run with the bat. The opener scored 321 runs in just five innings and played a key role in India’s title-winning campaign.

Ishan Kishan also finds a place in the XI after scoring 317 runs, the fourth highest in the tournament. He produced a key 77 against Pakistan and later added important knocks against England and New Zealand, including a half-century in the final.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya is the third Indian player included after contributing with both bat and ball. He scored two half-centuries during the competition, including 52 against Namibia, while also taking nine wickets.

Bumrah among leading wicket takers

Jasprit Bumrah is the fourth Indian player in the side after finishing as the joint-leading wicket taker with 14 wickets from eight matches. He returned figures of four for 15 in the final and maintained an economy rate of 6.21 during the tournament.

The top order also features Sahibzada Farhan, who finished as the tournament’s leading run scorer with 383 runs at an average of 76.60, including centuries against Sri Lanka and Namibia.

Aiden Markram has been named captain of the side after a strong campaign with the bat as South Africa reached the semifinals.

Interestingly, India captain Suryakumar Yadav misses out on the XI despite scoring more than 220 runs during the tournament and leading the side to the title.
