Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has shared his point of view about MS Dhoni’s retirement from IPL, calling him not just a player but a brand that defines and makes a big impact in the league.
MS Dhoni’s Performance in IPL 2025:
During the IPL 2025 season, Dhoni played all 14 matches league stage of this year's IPL for Chennai Super Kings. He scored 196 runs in 13 innings with a strike rate of 135.17, including 12 fours and 12 sixes.
During mid-season of the Indian Premier League 2025 Captain of CSK, Ruturaj Gaikwad, was ruled out for the entire season due to Injury. After that, Dhoni took charge as captain of CSK for all remaining matches of 2025.
MS Dhoni is the most successful captain in IPL history and the backbone of Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. Under his leadership, CSK won 5 IPL titles. In this year’s Indian Premier League, with his fantastic lightning-fast wicketkeeping, he proved he is still the best at the age of 43, even after retirement from International cricket.

In a recent Interview, Bravo Said, “ CSK management is not worried about Dhoni’s retirement. It’s the rest of the world that keeps wondering. He is still the best wicket-keeper in the league.”
Bravo added that “Dhoni knows when to walk away and will do it in his way. “He has always been honest with himself. He will leave the game when he feels he can no longer contribute. But for now, the value he brings even in a few moments on the field is priceless”.
