NEW DELHI: Chandigarh completed a commanding innings and 92-run victory over Kerala on the third day of their Ranji Trophy Group B match at Thiruvananthapuram. The home side never really looked in control after falling behind early in the contest.

Big first-innings advantage

After bowling Kerala out for a modest 139, Chandigarh made full use of the conditions. Arjun Azad struck a classy century, while skipper Manan Vohra played a patient knock to cross three figures. Their efforts powered Chandigarh to a massive 416 and put the visitors firmly on the back foot.

Facing the follow-on, Kerala needed something special but kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Vishnu Vinod and Salman Nizar offered brief hope with fighting half-centuries, yet the gap was already too big to bridge.

Bowlers finish the job

Chandigarh’s attack stayed disciplined. Rohit Dhanda picked up four wickets in the second innings, while Vishu Kashyap added three more to shut the door on any comeback. The innings defeat was sealed without much fuss.

The win earned Chandigarh seven points, including a bonus point, lifting them above Kerala in the standings. Kerala remain on the same points tally but slipped down due to the lack of a win.
