Australia converted their dominance over the last three days into a comprehensive 10-wicket victory over India women's national cricket team in the one-off women’s day-night Test on Sunday.

The hosts laid the foundation for the win earlier by bowling India out for 149 in their second innings, before comfortably chasing down the modest target of 25 without losing a wicket.

The triumph also marked a memorable farewell for captain Alyssa Healy, who ended her career in the Baggy Green with a commanding victory over a side she has traditionally performed well against.

India resumed the third day at 105 for six, with overnight batters Pratika Rawal and Sneh Rana attempting to steady the innings. The duo managed to push the score to 132, with Rawal showing commendable composure while scoring 63.

However, the task proved too steep for India. Rana was dismissed for 30 after Ashleigh Gardner produced a sharp delivery that uprooted the off stump, triggering a swift collapse.

Gardner, along with Player of the Match Annabel Sutherland, wrapped up the innings. Sutherland sealed the effort with a brilliant tumbling catch near the edge of the circle to dismiss Rawal, whose mistimed pull lacked both power and distance.

That dismissal brought an end to India’s second innings.

Australia’s openers, Georgia Voll and Phoebe Litchfield, faced little resistance while chasing the small target, completing the job in just 4.3 overs.

Speaking after the match, India captain Harmanpreet Kaur reflected on the tour.

“We started well in the T20Is with a series win but could not carry that momentum into the ODIs and Tests. Still, playing a full series in Australia was a valuable experience. The Pink Ball Test brought a different challenge,” she said.

Healy, meanwhile, expressed pride in her team’s response after earlier setbacks.

“Bouncing back from the T20 series defeat was unbelievable, and I’m proud of this group. I’m going to sing the team song one last time, but I’m happy to see this team move forward and continue achieving good results. The last week or so has been amazing,” she said.
