Most Runs in Asia Cup History

Star Player of Team India, Rohit Sharma, has become the first cricketer in the History of the Asia Cup to score 700+ runs in the tournament’s history.

The right-handed batter currently holds the record of scoring the most runs in the Asia Cup. Rohit Sharma tops the list with 782 runs in 20 matches and 19 innings. The Indian batter has hit 73 fours and 36 sixes. His strike rate in the tournament is 109.99. 

Rohit Sharma, followed by Virat Kohli, the right-handed batter smashed 558 runs in 15 matches and 12 Innings with a strike rate of 127.40.  

As of August 2025, seven players have scored over 400 runs. The top scorers belong to teams like India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. 

Three Cricketers From India are in the list of getting 400+ runs. Rohit Sharma scored 782 runs with an average of 39.1  in 20 Asia Cup matches. He is the first Indian player on the list.

Indian Player Virat  Kohli scored 558 runs with an average of 37.2 in 15 matches.  The left-handed batted Shikhar Dhawan registered 421 runs in 9 matches with an average of 46.78.  He has hit 56 fours and 7 sixes. His Strike rate is 103.69. He is 7th in the list for scoring the most runs in the Asia Cup. 

Two cricketers from Pakistan, Mohammad Rizwan, 4th in the list of Asia Cup leading run scorers with 476 runs in 11 matches and 10 innings, with a Strike rate of 106.73. He has hammered 40 fours and 9 sixes with an average of 17.6.

 Babar Azam Pakistan Player, obtained 431 runs in 15 innings, 16 matches, with an average of 28.73. The right-handed batter has hit 40 fours and 6 sixes. He claimed 5th place in scoring the highest runs in the Asia Cup history. 

One cricketer from Bangladesh, the 3rd highest runs scorer in Asia Cup, Mushfiqur Rahim, has registered 478 runs in 16 matches and 16 innings with a strike rate of 78.75 and 28.73 average. He managed to hit 33 fours and 6 sixes. 

While one cricketer from Sri Lanka, Kusal Mendis, has posted 425 runs in 14 matches and 14 innings. He has hammered 37 fours and 14 sixes. He is in 6th position as the Asia Cup leading run scorer. 

Afghanistan Player Hashmatullah Shahidi is in 8th spot in scoring the most runs in Asia Cup history. He has made 373 runs in 7 matches, 7 innings, with a strike rate of 76.12, with an average of 53.29. He has scored 26 fouls and 1 six.
