NEW DELHI: Cricket Australia shared a clip on social media showcasing Scott Boland’s delivery to dismiss New South Wales batter William Salzmann in 2025/26 Sheffield Shield, praising the ball as a spectacular moment. However, former England captain Michael Vaughan couldn’t resist having a bit of fun at their expense.
Vaughan took to X to troll Cricket Australia, indirectly suggesting the delivery was far from extraordinary and that the wicket was more the result of the batsman’s error than Boland’s brilliance. He wrote:
“A Peach !!!!!!!! The Batter has left a ball that’s cracked into middle stump !!!!!!!!”

Boland eyes The Ashes after stellar BGT performance earlier this year
The fast bowler, who performed phenomenally in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) against India last year, will be expected to return to the Test arena for the highly anticipated Ashes 2025-26 series against arch-rivals England.
Boland's consistent ability to exploit the seam in Australian conditions makes him a crucial weapon, and he will look to carry this match-winning form into the Ashes to continue his phenomenal work for the national side.
