NEW DELHI: Australian batter Travis Head is in some form of his life as he continues to make a mockery of England's bowling with yet another century during the third day of the third Ashes Test in Adelaide on Friday.
Head finally reached his 11th Test century in spectacular fashion after being dropped on 99. Off a good-length delivery outside off stump from Jofra Archer, Head had leaned back and cut hard, sending the ball straight to gully.
However, Harry Brook couldn't hold on, giving Head a lifeline. The South Australian, clearly aware of his luck, stuck out his tongue and smiled broadly, much to the delight of the home crowd.

Joe Root then provided the perfect finish, with Head dispatching a tossed-up delivery straight down the ground for four to bring up his hundred. He celebrated in style, embracing wicketkeeper Alex Carey before removing his helmet, ruffling his hair, and dropping to his knees to kiss the Adelaide Oval turf.
Head in last four Tests at the Adelaide Oval
175 & 38* vs WI, 2022
119 vs WI, 2024
140 vs IND, 2024
10 & 104*
* He's the second batter with hundreds in four consecutive Tests at the Adelaide Oval after Michael Clarke (Jan 2012 - Dec 2014).
This century marks Head's fourth consecutive Test ton at the Adelaide Oval - two against the West Indies, one against India, and now this one against England - underlining his reputation as a big-match player.
Having scored hundreds in the WTC final and the ODI World Cup, Head continues to demonstrate remarkable form, cementing his status as one of Australia's most reliable performers in high-pressure situations.
He capped off the moment by holding his bat in one hand and helmet in the other, raising them triumphantly to his wife and the crowd, who lapped up every bit of the celebration.
