NEW DELHI: Rain delayed the start of the crucial Group B T20 World Cup match between Ireland cricket team and Zimbabwe national cricket team on Tuesday, putting the Super Eight qualification scenario on edge.
Table toppers Sri Lanka national cricket team with six points have already sealed their place in the Super Eight. Zimbabwe, who are on four points, must win this game to confirm qualification.

If the match is washed out, Australia national cricket team will be knocked out of the T20 World Cup and Zimbabwe will progress to the Super Eight, where they are set to face India national cricket team on February 26.
Ireland and Australia both sit on two points, making this contest decisive for the final standings in Group B.
The cut off time for a five over contest is around 6:10 pm local time.
Zimbabwe stunned Australia by 23 runs earlier in the tournament after beating Oman national cricket team by eight wickets in their opening match.
Ireland lost their first two games against Sri Lanka and Australia before bouncing back with a dominant 96 run win over Oman in their previous outing.
