NEW DELHI: The cricket fans will not be able to witness Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in action in the fourth round matches of the Vijay Hazare Trophy on Wednesday. Both the legends were scheduled to participate in the first two rounds and also missed the last round.
Kohli was in good form in the first two games for Delhi, smashing 131 and 77 respectively, while Rohit also hammered 155 for Mumbai against Sikkim but fell for a golden duck against Uttarakhand in the next game.
Mumbai are up against Goa at the Jaipuria Vidyalaya Ground in Jaipur, while Delhi taking on Odisha at the KSCA Cricket Ground in Alur.

Rohit, meanwhile, will not take part in the remainder of the Vijay Hazare Trophy as he shifts focus to the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand, beginning on January 11. Kohli, however, is expected to make one final appearance for Delhi, with confirmation that he will play the match against Railways on January 6.
As per the BCCI's directive, all centrally contracted players were required to feature in at least two Vijay Hazare Trophy matches. However, Kohli is keen to play a third game as part of his preparation for the home series against New Zealand.
"As of now, he is playing. Virat have given his availability for three games," Delhi and Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) President Rohan Jaitley told PTI.
