NEW DELHI: India’s dream run in world cricket continues with yet another ICC title added to their glittering cabinet. This time, it came at the Under-19 World Cup, where Ayush Mhatre led from the front as India thrashed England by 100 runs in a high-scoring final.

It was India’s record-extending sixth U-19 World Cup title, the most by any team. In a run fest of a summit clash, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s breathtaking knock set the tone and gave India complete control of the contest.

With this triumph, Ayush Mhatre etched his name into Indian cricket history by becoming the sixth Indian captain to lift the Under-19 World Cup trophy. He now joins an elite list of leaders that includes legendary names such as Virat Kohli, underlining the strong leadership pipeline in Indian cricket
