Mickie James was indeed one of the biggest names of WWE during the Ruthless Aggression Era, and she was also a fan favorite. She made her WWE debut back in 2005, and she started working alongside Trish Stratus. At first, they worked as a team, but later, they became rivals, and James defeated Trish Stratus to win the WWE women's Championship at WrestleMania 22.

Mickie James went on to become one of the biggest attractions of the women's division of WWE in the upcoming days as she had been a six times World Champion during her first run in the promotion. She was released from WWE in 2010, and she could not be a brief part of the Divas era of WWE, which followed the previous time period from the Ruthless Aggression Era.

How Mickie James felt after getting disrespected by WWE

Although she was one of the top stars of WWE during her time in the promotion, she was disrespected after she was released from the promotion, and WWE had to face a lot of criticism for this incident. Mickie James recently remembered this incident when she returned to WWE. Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on the “Insight” podcast, she explained the following;

Mickie James is a six times WWE World Champion

“I wasn’t as offended as the fans were when it happened, because I don’t think you realize how many times we’ve been offended. I’m so numb to getting my feelings hurt, or I’m so used to, Oh, you got to separate your ego from it, and don’t take it personal. It’s just business. So I posted, because I’m a sarcastic person, and if I was to be honest, I got two boxes with two trash bags. I still have the trash bags because I’m keeping them, receipts.

"But I think it was important for a couple reasons. Well, one, because I’m a smart ass, and it was sarcastic, and I remembered in 2010 when I got my stuff back, and I got it the same way, and 2010 me was devastated. 2010, I was like, Oh, my God. They think I’m trash. They hate me, they’re throwing me out with the trash, and nothing I did mattered. I took it real personal.”

Mickie James returned to WWE in 2016, but this time she was only treated as a lower mid card and used to put over younger talents. She remained active in WWE until 2019, and after she got released from the promotion in the mentioned year, she went to TNA Wrestling. She is made history in 2022 by becoming the first ever TNA star to appear in WWE as a TNA star. Today, she is considered a legend.
