Drew McIntyre made his WWE main roster debut back in 2009, and he was promoted as the Chosen One of Vince McMahon. He even won the WWE Intercontinental Championship soon after his main roster debut. But soon, Vince McMahon realized that he was still not ready for the big push and demoted him to a jobber.

Ultimately, he was released from WWE in 2014, and he groomed himself outside of WWE pretty well. He returned to WWE in 2017, and this time, he was treated as a concrete main eventer. He started to be treated as a main eventer after he won the men's Royal Rumble match of 2020, and he also went on to win the WWE World Championship at WrestleMania 36 by defeating Brock Lesnar.

Drew McIntyre labels Kane's Chokeslam as one of the most difficult moves to take

Drew McIntyre is presently active in WWE SmackDown, and he is doing an amazing job. Recently, he remembered his early days in the promotion and also talked about one of the moves that he hated taking. He named Chokslam from Kane as one of the hardest moves for him to take. Speaking on the “No-Contest Wrestling’ podcast, he explained the following;

Drew McIntyre had a rivalry with Kane back in 2010

“Chokeslam, from Kane, chokeslam from Kane. Yeah, horrible. I don’t know the difference between Kane’s chokeslam, The Undertaker’s chokeslam, Big Show’s chokeslam, and all the chokeslams I’ve taken in my life. But every time Kane did it to me [it was bad].

McIntyre is presently having a rivalry with Cody Rhodes over the Undisputed WWE Championship

"To be fair, that time when I was wrestling him I was 24, I was IC Champion, I was a bit clueless, I was still finding my way. I was probably irritating as hell, I got a lot better with him years later. But so maybe he was just trying to put me through the ring, I don’t know. But he’s very big, very strong, and that chokeslam hurt like hell.”

When Drew McIntyre had his feud with Kane, he was still quite young, and he was not an established name in the wrestling world. Kane is always known to be one of the safest wrestlers to work with in the ring; however, he was not completely ready to work in the ring back then. That was one of the biggest reasons he was demoted to a jobber later.
