Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and popular radio jockey RJ Mahvash have once again found themselves in the spotlight after fans noticed that the two have unfollowed each other on Instagram, sparking fresh speculation about their equation.

The unexpected social media move has reignited curiosity around the duo, who were previously linked amid dating rumours. While neither Chahal nor Mahvash has publicly addressed the development, the mutual unfollow has not gone unnoticed and has set off a wave of online theories.

Chahal and Mahvash had been frequently linked over the past few months, particularly following the cricketer’s separation from choreographer Dhanashree Verma in early 2025. The rumours gathered momentum after the pair were spotted together on several occasions, including public outings and cricket matches. Mahvash was also seen cheering for Chahal during IPL 2025 and was present in the stands during the Champions Trophy 2025 final in Dubai.

Despite the buzz, both consistently maintained that they shared a close friendship and nothing more. However, their recent decision to unfollow each other has fuelled talk of a possible fallout. Adding to the intrigue, Chahal shared a cryptic post on social media shortly after.

“Krishna says to Arjun: not everyone deserves your explanation. Sometimes it’s okay to be silent; let them assume that you are wrong,” Chahal wrote.

Around the same time, Mahvash posted a reel discussing the importance of setting firm personal boundaries and choosing peace over emotionally draining relationships. In the video, she spoke about no longer feeling the need to explain, manage, or “fix” others, a message many fans interpreted as reflective of her current state of mind.

For months, Mahvash had faced intense online scrutiny due to her proximity to Chahal, particularly in the aftermath of his divorce. She was subjected to trolling and was unfairly labelled a “homewrecker” by sections of social media, despite there being no confirmed link between her and the end of Chahal’s marriage. Chahal later acknowledged the impact of the rumours on Mahvash, revealing that the constant speculation eventually forced them to limit public appearances to avoid further controversy.

Both had previously addressed the gossip directly. Chahal stated that being seen publicly with a friend should not automatically invite relationship rumours, while Mahvash dismissed the claims as baseless and criticised narratives that dragged her into someone else’s personal life.
