NEW DELHI: Five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians have put to rest all speculation surrounding Rohit Sharma's future with the franchise, after rumours swirled that the former India captain might reunite with his long-time friend Abhishek Nayar at Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of IPL 2026.

What stood out in the message was the emphasis on the word 'Knight,’ with the franchise putting the letter 'K' in brackets - a subtle way of rubbishing rumours of Rohit's move to KKR. The post also reflected the franchise’s strong bond with Rohit, suggesting they have no intention of letting their most iconic player walk away.
