NEW DELHI: In the 35th match of the Big Bash League 2025–26, Beau Webster produced a rare sight on the big Australian grounds during the clash between Hobart Hurricanes and Brisbane Heat.
The all-rounder smashed a huge 105-metre six, sending the ball over the roof of the stadium and leaving fans and commentators stunned.
Six forces replacement ball
The moment came in the 2nd over of the second innings when Xavier Bartlett bowled into Webster. He stepped down the track, made room outside the leg stump and pulled the back-of-a-length delivery over wide long-on.
The ball travelled 105 metres and went out of the ground, forcing officials to bring in a replacement ball.

Webster steadies Hurricanes’ chase
Chasing 161 runs, Hobart Hurricanes lost both openers early as Tim Ward and Mitchell Owen failed to score big, departing in single digits. Webster then held the innings together alongside Ben McDermott, with the pair adding a crucial 98-run stand in 66 deliveries.
Webster was eventually dismissed in the 15th over, finding a fielder off Marnus Labuschagne’s bowling. He scored a composed 51 off 43 balls, including five fours and one six, a valuable knock given the situation of the chase.
