His father, Virender Sehwag, the tournament's brand ambassador, was in attendance to cheer for the young talents.
Talking about the match, the West Delhi Lions lifted the DPL 2025 title with a six-wicket win over the Central Delhi Kings in a tense final.
Chasing 174, the Lions were rocked early as Simarjeet Singh and Arun Pundir struck twice, leaving them at 48 for 3 inside five overs. But skipper Nitish Rana stood tall, anchoring the innings with a composed, unbeaten 79 to guide his side home.
Earlier, the Kings staged a strong recovery from a shaky start to post 173 for 7. Yugal Saini (65) and Pranshu Vijayran (50*) stitched together a crucial 78-run stand for the seventh wicket.
For the Lions, Manan Bhardwaj (2/11) and Shivank Vashisht (2 wickets) were the pick of the bowlers, while Rana chipped in with a miserly spell of 1 for 16 in his four overs.
